1. The following are permitted to borrow bibliographic material from the catalogue of the Centro de Estudos Luis Guedes (CELG)’s Library: a) associates; b) assistants of the disciplines linked to the Psychiatry and Forensic Medicine at FAMED/UFRGS. 2. Only the users who fulfill the following requisites will be able to retrieve bibliographic material: a) associates: having all the monthly payments fulfilled; b) assistants: receiving authorization by the Professor of the corresponding discipline, who, in signing the Commitment Form, becomes equally responsible for the acts practiced by the former, and fulfilling the enrollment form. 3. Material pertaining to the following categories will not be lent: a) rare books; b) periodicals. 4. The lending of bibliographic material will occur according to the following schedules and conditions: a) material from general collection: those will be lent for a period of 7 consecutive days, with the possibility of renewal for another 7-days span, as many times as needed by the user, provided that the material is not reserved or in delay, and that the user offers identification data of the material needed to proceed with the renewal; b) reference material: the material included in this category may be lent from 4 pm until 9 am of the following day, without the possibility of renewal. c) the renewal will only be effected after the Library’s confirmation; d) as many as 10 items can be lent simultaneously; e) all the material subject to be lent may be reserved. 5. The non-observance of the rules and schedules by the user will imply the following penalties: a) the user will have to pay a R$ 1.00 fee for each day in delay and for each item lent, or R$ 1.00 for delay hour, in case of reference material, on a continuous basis; b) in cases of material damaged or lost, a fee corresponding to the cost of the material, including costs with importation, when needed, must be paid to the Library, in addition to the regular fees for delay, corresponding to the time between the end of the borrowing period and the written communication about the loss of the material. In case of rare material, unavailable in the market, the Library has the right to choose between the fee payment and requiring the replacement for similar material existing in the market. The deadline for reposition or fee payment is 60 days, from the deadline for devolution; Values resulting from penalties explained above will be communicated to the CELG’s Treasury for charging: for associates, value will be included in monthly payments; for academic assistants, the value will be included in the responsible Professor’s monthly payment. 6. CELG’s Library has the right to require the material lent at any time. 7. This rules are applicable for all the users who borrow bibliographic material from the CELG’s Library. 8. Omissive cases will be decided by the Consulting Board ad referendum from CELG’s General Assembly. |
